MJF Lion Praveen comes from a very reputed business family of Nagaon, well known for its social and educational contributions to the society. He is the second generation Lion and younger son of very senior Lion member of our District, Lion J. K. Agarwal. Lion Praveen has done his masters in Computer Engineering from Assam Engineering College, Guwahati.
He joined Lions organization as a member of Leo Club of Nowgong in the year 1992 and served the Club and the District in various capacities. After completing his education and successfully setting up his business, he once again joined Lionism in 2012 by organizing Lions Club of Nagaon City and served as its Charter President. Since then he has served his Club in various capacities and the District 322D with utmost dedication as Zone Chairperson, Region Chairperson, DC International Relations & Club Twinning, DC Leo Clubs for two consecutive terms, VDG-1 last year and currently serving as District Governor of our District.
Lion Praveen has many awards and recognitions to his credit including 100% Charter President Award, Best President in the entire Multiple 322, Lion of the Year Award, Best Zone Chairperson in the entire Multiple 322, Best Region Chairperson in the entire Multiple 322, 3 International President’s Medals, 3 International President’s Leadership Medals, 4 International President’s Certificate of Appreciation, 3 “International Relations Awards”, 3 “LCIF Helping Hands Award” and many more.
He has graduated from Emerging Lions Leadership Institute, Ahmedabad and Regional Lions Leadership Institute, Kolkata and is also a “Certified Guiding Lion”. He also attended the District Governor training at Chicago this year. He has attended 8 International Conventions and 7 ISAAME Area Forums. He is the only Lion in our Multiple to hold a rare distinction of having attended all the District Conferences, ISAAME Area Forums and International Conventions since becoming a Lion in 2012.
He is the youngest ever District Governor in 40 years of Lions District 322D
